Skin Refined
Branding, Graphic Design, Web Design | 2020
A series of graphic design projects and a custom website created for a day spa in Castle Rock.
Becky approached us in October 2020 with her new business. While her logo had been designed by a friend, she lacked a website, branding, and any digital presence.
Since then, I’ve developed a range of graphic design materials including magazine ads, event signage, menus, and more. Additionally, I created a custom website to help establish her brand’s online presence.
Web Design
We began with the website, as it was the most critical element for getting Becky’s business up and running efficiently. This was only the second website I had built professionally, and while I learned valuable lessons throughout the process, I would certainly tweak a few design choices if I had the chance to revisit it. That said, the website achieved its main objectives: it’s clean, inviting, SEO-friendly, and has been successful in generating viable leads and conversions.
Menu
Once the website was live, we focused on creating a menu. Our goal was to minimize waste and reduce printing costs. I recommended moving away from brochures in favor of a larger, double-sided laminated menu that could easily be cleaned and reused within the spa.
Fitting a wide variety of items and descriptions into the design was a challenge, but we were both pleased with the final result.

One of the best aspects of this project was the abundance of high-quality content. Through her partnership program, Becky provided hundreds of high-resolution stock images featuring models using her skincare products, eliminating the usual struggle of sourcing quality photos.
